  • Study finds 3x as many stories on FBI director, compared to Clinton.

Ever since it was announced, on Friday, that the FBI was pursuing new leads into the investigation of Hillary Clinton’s e-mail server scandal, the Big Three (ABC, CBS, NBC) networks have gone into attack mode against James Comey, turning what should be a scandal about Clinton into a smear against the FBI director.

There's probably something going on. I'm sure they try to influence elections. But no one needs to convince people to vote for Trump. Our own system produced him , and would have done so without any outside influence.

but that isn't what many democrats are claiming. they're claiming that there's an actual plot involving the russians and trump. james carville, for example, went on a rant yesterday about the FBI, CIA and 'KGB' being in cahoots against clinton. the KGB, as we all know, is such a dastardly organisation that its disbanding with the collapse of the soviet union didn't stop its plotting.

people are putting forward the kind of the theories that normally feature the illuminati, the lizard men and the jooos, and yet they're being taken seriously.

although GC is gullible, he's far from being the only one. you really can fool some of the people all of the time.

Who is taking Carville seriously? Other than Gian? Every headline I see on Carville is painting his rant as "blowing up", "lost it", or "melts down". Hillary's own statements are justified. (Trump's is the tinfoil candidate.)

The vast majority of statements I've seen about Russians trying to influence the election are being made without claiming there is coordination. It seems pretty obvious that that is what is usually being implied when Russian influence is being brought up.

            • there are a lot of stories in the liberal media that are basically alex jones stuff, and they are pushed a lot. see here for example, or the laughable allegations that wikileaks is a russian organisation, or that BS slate article.

and while many don't expressly say there's coordination, because there is no evidence and such claims would undermine their credibility, the implication is pretty obvious.

              • this from the ever unreliable huff po is a great example of what i'm talking about. they collate some wild or BS claims and then put them together with comey and some claims about trump's team. the implication could hardly be clearer.

                • They are both tinfoil hat candidates. Typical liberals calling their opponents what they are themselves and people falling for it.

First, you've picked two of the furthest left publications (essentially blogs) neither of which are hard news sources. The implication on the Huff Po, and what they explicitly state, is that on each and every item there is contradictory information and no clear conclusion. You're imagining an implication that isn't there, so to support your misconception about the media's treatment of this story.

Even the Mother Jones clearly states there's no way to confirm or deny the allegations yet.

There's no way to tell whether the FBI has confirmed or debunked any of the allegations contained in the former spy's memos.
You're a long, long way from your claim that, "people are putting forward the kind of the theories that normally feature the illuminati, the lizard men and the jooos, and yet they're being taken seriously."

                      • RCP average lead is at 2.2 in either a two-way or a four-way race. 538 now gives Trump a one-in-four chance of winning, IIRC. Yeesh.

                        • I also read on 538 that fully half of America's Hispanics live in TX or CA. They probably aren't enough to flip the former (by Nate Silver's estimation) and Trump was never going to win the latter, so their impact may be somewhat muted this election compared to what you'd naturally expect.

                          • Except some of the swing states like Arizona and Florida have more than enough. Anyways, cockney is on block so I won't read anymore of his inane rants.

Trump is the one with several pending trials and is now accused of tax fraud in Mexico.

He is now being accused of destroying emails that were requested by the courts, according to Newsweek.

In addition there are reports that he engaged in human trafficking.

You can try to dig up **** on Hillary and masquerade it as truth like a gullible putz, but Trump is hiding far more.

                            • But of course some on here love being lied to and think this is all planted by Hillary.

                              • If you're not going to be responding to C0ckney anymore, I'm not sure who you're talking to there. I've said Hillary is morally repugnant (though not as much so as Trump), but can't recall boosting any specific allegations beyond her having some overenthusiastic and/or shady underlings. I would not be shocked to hear basically anything negative about Trump at this point. Nor, I suspect, would most anybody else.
