Yeah, I said minority because the consideration is about the turnout of both hispanics and african americans.

I am guessing that Asians are not relevant (smaller number and not as likely to be as strongly Democrat).

So what does that leave? Asians, a few native Americans, and a small percentage of religious minorities? Republicans will probably get 70%-80% of the white vote unless young people show up but Hillary doesn't seem to inspire them the way Bernie could.
Is it 80% turnout or 50% turnout among the uneducated white. That is key question number 1.

Yes, I agree. As always who turns out to vote is going to be the key factor.

In fairness, she has a really strong African American base, although **** knows why after the racist **** they pulled back in 2008. It was strong enough to carry her safely through the primaries though against a candidate with a civil rights record and a platform that offered far more to the black community, so I'd assume she'll also be able to count on it for the election. Not Obama levels of course, but still very strong.

Considering many polls state that African Americans and Latinos overwhelmingly disapprove of Trump, they will both be getting out in big numbers. Especially Latinos I think who view Trump as a threat to their very existence in this country. I am talking about voters, because Trump is a threat to their standing in American society. Also I read one poll which showed African Americans having disapproval ratings in the upper 90s! And Latinos were in the upper 80s.

I agree and blacks do traditionally end up voting for Democrats by huge margins (90%+) mostly because Republicans have made their party toxic to blacks. That said, turn out when Obama was running was at record highs as black voters were excited about the prospect of the first black president. It is going to be hard, bordering on impossible, to keep up such record turn out without Obama on the ticket.

Now... More polls do need to come out, but Trumps lead evaporated almost immediately after the RNC. And now Hillary had a much stronger post DNC bounce in the polls.

According to a new poll, Hillary Clinton leads Trump... 46%-39%. This is also key because Hillary Is approaching 50% and is showing signs of solidifying support. Trump is now back in the mid to upper 30s (another poll put him at 35%). Also the DNC is starting to show signs of being successful at improving Clinton's favorability rating.

This same poll had them tied after the RNC.

I suspect the insults towards the late veteran's family didn't help Trump either.

I'll start paying real attention to the polls come about mid-October.
Lord knows what can happen between now and them.
                      Especially the debates.

I heard Trump doesn't want to do the debates. Even he knows if confronted he could react violently/stupidly. But I am starting to think people are having enough of sideshow act.

The debates are his only chance. Short of Hillary getting convicted of something.

I could see him tanking catastrophically in the debates... He just doesn't seem like a guy who likes answering tough questions.
