  • Actually it has everything to do with colonialism, because the colonial powers drew the borders that forced Hutus and Tutsis into the same state.
The post colonial states never changed the borders that were drawn by the colonial powers and, up to this date, still keep the borders that, more than a century above, were drawn by the europeans

With a more natural growth of countries, without the influence of the europeans, we most likely would have gotten separate national states for Hutus and Tutsis
One, Hutus and Tutsis are a very small part of Africa, so I challenge that assertion. Gian's knowledge of Africa doesn't extend further than Hollywood, apparently.

Two, Rwanda was never an English or French colony.

Can we please get some posters that actually know something about Africa? Please?

Oh wow. I am somehow engaging in colonialism? How is that, idiot? Do us all a favor. Go find your brain. It is off the freeway at a truck stop somewhere in Oklahoma.

        You don't know ****.

That is where the biggest conflicts have occurred. Hutu and Tutsi are invented terms by colonialists to drive wedges between the locals.

And I dunno... But millions have died in Africa because of that conflict. Far more than the number Boko Haram has killed. Perhaps a hundred times more. Idiot.

Hutu and Tutsi were not native terms you moron! They were prescribed by colonial powers. They drew up arbitrary borders and gave these racist terms to locals.

Yep, you sure are. Stop telling natives how to live our lives. If you don't like the New World, go back to the old.

You said "French and English" Rwanda was neither a French nor an English Colony. You might want to actually read up on the history rather than watching Hollywood videos. And again, the majority of conflicts in Africa are not between Hutu and Tutsi. Not even close.

It was part of Deutsch-Ostafrika ... Germany also was a colonial power ... just like Belgium, you know

Yes. Please. Don't blame England and France for Germany. It's not too much to expect Germans to know German colonies! Though I doubt they teach that in school.

But that doesn't matter ... you said that you don't see colonialism as negative ... but all european powers were part of colonialism, not only the french and english

Yeah, but if colonialism had never happened they'd probably be fighting over something else.

                      • But if you want other examples:
Zimbabwe ... conflict between the indigenuous tribes and their formal masters as well as between the Ndebele and Shona tribes
South Africa ... Apartheid till the end of the 80s ... nowadays conflicts between Zulus and Pondos
Kenya ... a mixture of lots of tribes that always have conflicts with each others
Sudan ... conflict between the Murle and Lo Nuer
                        and many more

You are lying once again as you always do. With your fake stupid history degree. You don't even know anything about the continent.

What? Like you? You're from Spain. If you don't like it, go back to Spain. We've been here, all my family, almost a 100 years now. This is our home.
