My preference is for a constitutional monarchy. Similar to Westminster, but with a true bicameralism that we see in the US with the House and Senate. The only thing I've said about the when, is that there are parts of the US legal system that I like from prior to Wilson. That was long, (50+) years after slavery died. Even if you look at me liking the Victorian age - remember that Canada never had slavery, and that England banned it before Victoria came to power.Well, owning slaves as property nowadays is illegal in the USA
I'm not an American. I don't see why all of you are arguing that just because someone likes certain things in the Victorian era, that means that they must support slavery.
