  • It's entirely possible to believe that God punishes nations and to forgive your enemies. That's just one example. Other than that I don't have time. You're running a strawman

Look at Venezuela. Heck, look at your own country. I've got compassion for anyone who isn't liberal, but it is what it is.

For anyone who isn't a liberal? Sure, those ****ers who want equality and opportunity for everyone really are the worst.

                  • Homeschooling couldn't breed Nazis when the Nazi movement wasn't yet firmly established before the Nazis came to power
Hitler changed lots of laws in Germany when he came to power. Why didn't he permit homeschooling if homeschooling bred Nazis?

The reason he didn't is because he wanted state control over education. The Hitlerjugend took children away from parents. Homeschooling hindered rather than helped the Nazi regime. The same is true today which is why Germany kept the ban, rather than relinquish control over education.

"German germans" and "French germans" would still be able to differentiate themselves by the primary language they speak and the location they live in.
Indeed, just like those who are married traditionally can differentiate themselves from those who are not. That is my point. The law is a legal fiction that attempts to make two things that are different the same.

Heterosexual couples would still be distinct from homosexual couples in, that the former have the right to be married in a catholic church, whereas the latter cannot ... and can only be married by the state
No, the two are still different because the union is different. The union between a man and a woman is not the same as the union between a man and a man or a woman and a woman.

Well, I guess there are also christians working for Huffpost
                    Find a real source.

Sure, there are some muslims who would like the Sharia to replace the german one ... most however are happy with the german law.
Are you deporting Germans who want to replace German law with Sharia. If not, why not?

And I am sure that there are also numerous groups in the USA, who don't accept the US government as "their government" and who think, some other rules supersede the jurisdiction of the USA
Like the constitution? I like how you segued into branding German monarchists Nazis, despite the fact that Monarchists have always been the enemy of Nazis.

                    • Of course we can't both be right, you are basically wrong every time you open your mouth. You have maps? You're a joke, I actually live here and travel frequently all over Europe. There is NO place in Western Europe where the police will not go, and frankly if you think there are then you're delusional.

Either the cop is a liar or you're a liar. I know who's side I'm on.

So in defense of your attack on Sharia mediation courts you post an article that has absolutely nothing to do with Sharia mediation courts.

Oh and you should be banned again for that last part.
Why? I posted evidence that honor killings are being done in Canada by Muslims. We ban truth now?

                      You lying ****.
Take it up with the national post.

**** off you bigotted ****, even mentioning anti-semitism as a defense for ultra orthodox killings is beyond pathetic. Then again I suppose you're used to having to defend the indefensible given you're an ardent supporter of the church of child rape.
Anti Catholic and an anti-Semite. Gosh, you're just a regular, tolerant Euro, eh?

Provide a single example of a Western Sharia court trying to kill an ex-Muslim or STFU.

                      • Considering that the (later) persian empire was a neighbor of the greek culture and then was conquered by Megas Alexandros, they might have very well influenced the greek states after Alexander.

And that it was them who influenced the roman empire is out of doubt
                        AHAHAHA. No.

Romans did not get their legal code from the Persians.

While he surely did an important work with his codex of civil rights, this was just a compilation of the civil jurisdiction that already existed in the roman empire.
He didn't invent the roman legal practice (which existed already before christianity) but rather did a compilation of it.
You're arguing that a culture that had nothing to do with 'Rome' influenced their law, while the foremost Roman legal scholar did not. Wow. I guess they don't actually teach culture in Europe anymore.

Therefore IMHO it is sufficient enough to say that the romans are the basis of modern jurisdiction (as this also encompasses the works of later romans like Justinian)
Indeed. This is why Justinian is so significant. And no, there really isn't a straight line between Persian justice and the Roman law codes.

                        • Kentonio's idea of equality is never being able to criticize people if it offends them, not being able to defend yourself from criminals, not being able keep what you work for and getting blown up by a suicide bomber, but the way he tells the story I'm not compassionate. Damn liberals, screw every country up then whine about God.

                            LOL

Yes I agree that Hitler wanted to indoctrinate the youth with his own ideologies.
But, as I said, there was no Nazi-Movement before Hitler.
Therefore he needed the indoctrination in order to form his Nazi youths.

Nowadays however, with the Nazi-History of germany, there is a certain percentage of Neonazis,
who are Antisemites, think the KZs were an invention of allied propaganda and want a german Reich in the borders before 1914
                            (meaning, include eastern prussia)

Noone in their right mind would want them (or other loonies, like islamists, flat earthers, creationists etc. ) to be the only people who have an influence on their children.

I also point to this, about the socialization problems of homeschoolers:

                              • Proteus, the article you posted re: homeschooling does not seem to describe children who are unsocialized so much as children who are ignorant of mainstream culture. They don't know about fashion, pop culture, etc. They are, however, capable of playing well with others, introducing themselves, making friends, sharing, bonding, and things like that. There's a rather large difference. If my sons don't get accustomed to flailing at a handheld electronic device six hours a day, begging for whatever plastic crap the TV commercials are shilling, and accepting essentially decadent modes of sexual behavior as not only acceptable but admirable . . . I'm okay with that.

I have some ambivalence about homeschooling my kids because, yes, some homeschoolers are frankly whacko, and the homeschool circles sometimes center around an evangelical protestant sensibility I want no part of. But at this point . . . ehhhh. The bleeding edge of progressivism in the US has gone completely insane. The crazy rubbish coming out of colleges these days is no better than fundamentalism IMO. But by the time my younger son hits grade school, all the new teachers in all the school systems will be graduates of those same colleges. If we homeschool, we can tailor the material to avoid Francis Schaeffer lunatic-fringe crap. If we go public, we cannot reasonably hope to avoid our kids being in the care of people who sincerely believe in rape culture, heteronormativity, microaggression, various forms of race-baiting militancy, and whatever rubbish the left will be pushing once transgendered is played out and they need a new type of obscure social deviance to distract from the country's eight thousand more urgent problems. I used to be what was called mildly progressive. I don't know who moved which way--probably both of us did--but we're not in the same place anymore.

EDIT: posted before you added in the second link, which seems somewhat more nuanced.
