      The participation rate of 24-54 year olds has stayed steady. The reason why it has declined among younger people (18-24) is because many more are going to college and getting an education, rather than working. They see that an education will help them compete better, rather than working some dead-end job.

        How do my own sources think I'm wrong?
        They state that the majority of the decline has nothing to do with boomers. Both of them. One says less than a third, one says 40 percent. What happened to the other 60-75 percent?

          Why has it declined to historic lows for 25-50 year old men, Gian? And 50+ is boomers still.

            Those who saw a decline were young people, but you didn't read what I posted once again. Do I need to hammer this into your mind? MORE YOUNG PEOPLE ARE NOT WORKING BECAUSE THEY ARE GETTING A COLLEGE EDUCATION.

                  Mhmm. I did in fact read and quote directly from both source. Both sources say that the majority of the decline has sweet diddly poo to do with boomers, and that there are serious problems with employment for 25-50 group of men. We're seeing the highest levels of non-participation in history.

This is just how stupid he is. There are serious problems... bull****. I've already posted facts that showed the participation rate among 25-54 year olds has remained steady.

                              How else do we explain the decline in workforce participation for men from 25+ to 50? And no - most men are done with school by 25. We are actually seeing enrollment declines among men in college, fwiw.
