Cheney isn't my God, rah. Jesus is pretty clear on it. I would write and say that I wasn't going to attend and that he was welcome to be mad at me, but that it wasn't the first time I had made this choice in my life. Nor would it be the last. If it made him feel better to scapegoat me, then do that. But I wasn't going to show up and give my support for something that I believed was wrong.

Easy, marriage is one man and one woman, and is different from homosexual marriage, ergo the legal code should treat two things that are different in substance from each other.

That's YOUR definition of marriage, as well as a minority of people in the US. And the US government disagrees with you as well.
And how is homosexual marriage different than a couple who can't have children? You always ignore that one.
The legal code in the US is very clear on this matter and treats them both the same.

And Catholics are responsible for raping children and the Church is responsible for covering it up simply to save face. Again, are you claiming that all Muslims are responsible for 9-11, because if you are, than all Catholics are responsible for raping children.

That's a problem with divorce, yes. But it's also a problem with homosexual adoption.

At least with homosexual adoption, a child gets two loving parents, unlike living without any.
And the only reason why you consider it a bad social experiment is because of the ways gays are treated by bigots like you.
If gays were treated like normal human beings, it wouldn't be a social experiment. Unfortunately, bigots like you make it harder on the children.
So you should blame the bigots, not the institution.

Has quite a bit to do with it, actually. But then you knew that which is why you're conflating it with divorce. Children have a right to a mother and a father, that divorce doesn't abrogate, which is why a divorced father has a right to see their child.

All children have a mother and father... That's simple biology. So what's your point? What's best is that a child grows up in loving home. If a divorce or death occurs, life changes the equation... You keep claiming you are for what's in the child's best interest yet are you really? A child adopted by two loving parents (a gay couple) is better off in a loving home than being brought up in a loveless state institution. Also, two parents (a gay couple) is better than a single parent. The only negative with gay couples is the way bigots treat them. So people like you are the only real problem to gay adoption.

That's right, Ming. Kids and their needs come last. "Feeling good" comes first.

You are the one putting kids needs last... Feeling holy and mighty comes first to you, and you wish to deny children a loving home.
One last time, it's the bigots in the world that are putting children last when they treat them differently because they have gay parents.
