It's both. I thought this before I became Christian, and I think it now that I am Christian, and it is taught by the Christian religion.

Eve provided temptation, yes, but Adam still could have told her that she was wrong. For someone arguing in favor of the leadership of men, Adam failed in his role as a leader, and passed the buck to eve, saying that, "she caused him to sin"

And perhaps turned him into a newt. Adam tried to save his own worthless hide by condemning eve. What kind of a man is that?
