In living a more Christian life? Yes. I don't expect to sin, but I go to confession so that I can confess the sins that I commit. Usually every couple of months, but the last was in March. I should go again soon.

Does anyone else get the feeling that watching two religious people argue over who understands their god better is like watching two Klingons argue over what bred of fish is better at riding a bicycle? :P

That he would die? He did die. What do you mean it was false? The serpent is the liar. He said they would be like God, which is false. They would have been like God by doing as God does.

God lied, they didn't die. Their eyes were opened, they knew good and evil - they acquired a moral conscience. They became like God, and when God finds out, thats what he reports to his friends. God tells them, behold, the humans have become like us knowing good and evil. Let us block their way to the tree of life. God says absolutely nothing about Adam and Eve dying from the tree, no physical or spiritual death... just the acquisition of knowledge, probably dealing in part with procreation given the sexual symbolism in the story.

Which is braver or more noble to you? Sacrificing something valuable with no expectation of reward, or doing it truly believing you have something better coming anyway?

That's one of the bizarre elements of Christianity, for sure. Supposedly, Christ was god (though he also was god's son, which doesn't make any sense), and knew he was god, so his "sacrifice" was about the same as the sacrifice you make when you take off your hat.
