We were discussing the measure of responsibility. Simply saying people have some measure of responsibility doesn't explain how much they have. One person may be fat while having beneficial genetics ... another could be fat while trying much harder ... due to poor genetics.

There are countless scenarios, and the only way to judge the responsibility in each is to know what went into creating that scenario. (And we still need to define "responsibility" better of course.)
