So, go f*ck yourself. No one is buying your sh!t here any longer.
That is your paranoia talking. Really, we don't want you broke and starving as broke and starving people make poor trading partners. We want good trading partners and that is the path to mutual prosperity.

    • Isn't it funny how Putin declared himself the champion of family values, attacking gay people saying they had no place in Russian life, but then went and had multiple affairs and divorced his wife? Now, that is the kind of leadership I expect out of a fascist-nationalist dictator with absolute power and no moral compass.

At least he has an army of Internet trolls, paid with taxpayer money, to go online and say what a great leader he is (no matter what he does) and to spread his disinformation propaganda. I guess we are reduced to letting actual people giving their actual opinions.

      • But, hey, at least he keeps hiring hit men to assassinate the opposition because that is how you keep a country strong. Killing everyone who disagrees with the dictator that he should have absolute power.

          • “We are a country that can and must feed itself – and not only feed itself but supply other countries,” said Dmitry Medvedev, prime minister, last week.
But this goal appears elusive. Although the Russian Federation has one of the largest areas of arable land per capita in the world, the country relies on imports for up to 40 per cent of its food supplies. Farmers say it would take years of hard work and huge, wide-ranging investments to change that – a feat few believe will be achieved.

Maybe instead of spending billions bombing moderates in Syria you guys should spend the money on improving Russia. In the article some Russian farms idea tied where the bottlenecks are and how to increase production in both quantity and quality as well as variety but Putin doesn't seem interested in doing any of that.

He'd rather prop up brutal dictatorships, invade his neighbors, and royally screw up Russia's economy (which he has been doing for years now). If you are going to use a dictator at least find a competent one.

            • “Today in Russia we have the unique situation that good, ecologically-grown apples can’t fetch nearly the same price as imported ones,” says Dmitry Yuriev, deputy minister of agriculture. “Up to half of the fruit production from small farms and 20 per cent of industrial vegetable production just rots away.”
The root of the problem lies in the country’s long, tortuous transformation from its communist past. While the Soviet Union prided itself in self-sufficiency, it was achieved with low yields and little choice for consumers. Since the USSR’s collapse in 1991, the total area under cultivation in the country has dropped from over 90m hectares to just 73m ha.
Same source as above. When half of the fruit and 20% of the vegetables rot before even getting to market you have major transportation, storage, and processing problems. You have to look at 3rd world countries like India to find such high rates of wastage and that is a sign of a serious problem. Your transportation systems suck, you don't have modern facilities to process and pack things, nor to sort them and quickly whole sale them to retailers. These are not problems you can quickly solve and if you can solve them in a decade that would be amazingly fast yet Putin shows no sign of actually even trying to deal with any of it. He just makes some bland speeches about self sufficiency, toss a small amount into production subsidies, and then ignores the real problems. Worse, his complete lawlessness and constant policy changes based upon his mood each day result in the private sector not wanting to invest as they can never be sure they will get any return on investment.

You guys have such massive problems at home, much of it either caused or ignored by Putin, it seems foolish to waste short resources on invading the Ukraine on a lark or bombing moderates in Syria. Hell, if you guys just stopped the corruption by the dictator and his cronies you would have enough cash to fund all the needed modernization but that won't happen because you guys are sucker for a fake nationalistic speech.

And you, Americans, just do not want to know this truth.

The last texan I remember had a rather ambivalent attitude towards the little thing called "truth".

It is the same source you quoted above! Or don't you remember trying to claim wheat and buckwheat exports were some how a big deal?

Like, for example, Svetlana Alexievich, who got a 2015 Nobel Prize in Literature? And 2009 Nobel Peace Prize to Barack Obama. I think you forgot to give Nobel Prize in Literature to Joseph Goebbels, and a Nobel Peace Prize to Adolf Hitler. That will be in line with your previous awards.

Hey, i think it's USA who uses national guard (= army) against protesters in their cities

And it's the USA that is a police state that has more prisoners in the world than any other country, both in absolute and percent terms. Even USSR didn't have that many prisoners as USA has now. Well, it isn't a surprise of course, after all, concentration camps were invented by British. Communism and Fascism were invented by the West too.

P.S. And by the way, only idiots will believe that, say, Boris Nemtsov was killed by Kremin. When an opposition leader has a less than 1% population support, he's more useful as a martyr for his masters in the West, not as a living leader of opposition.
