That's really an honest question though.
I'm not taking into account the screw up of california and its nuclear plants privitization and rolling blackouts.
I'm asking about the UK. Did it work there?
I have no idea. I remember the privitization of their railway company and the lethal accidents that came piling up right afterwards, I think they had to renationalize it to get it to function safely.
So I was wandering what happened with the energy sector vis a vis prices and quality of service.
(and even then one should take into account the energy mix and cost of first material)

Ah O.K., I was wondering, because the last 2 pages somehow don´t appear to have something to do with Gross-Rossiya at all
(at least unless Putin has invaded greece and now is the one who has to care about the greek economy crisis
)

Blah blah blah Putin blah blah blah Russia blah blah blahOriginally posted by Proteus_MST View PostUkraine could be much better off than before the revolution ...
if Putin hadn´t decided to take the chance and stap in, in order to instigate a nice landgrab of Ukrainian territory (i.e. the Krim)
and afterwards had his secret service instigate an uprising in eastern Ukraina (and support it with russian military equipment and personnel, so that it wouldn´t get beaten down by the Ukrainian military).
Perhaps Ukraina would, without the corruption by the russia backed former government, even be able to pay for its gas bills now.
(i.e. if the russian landgrabs hadn´t happened)
Yeah, sure, nice argumentation. In any case it's Ukrainian government and their masters in Washington who are responsible for Ukraine, not Putin.Knowledge is Power

Because Western investigation team is interested in blaming Russia, not in investigation itself. So far it's obvious that it's the investigation team who conceals it's investigation - even their own population blamed them for that.Originally posted by dannubis View PostBecause your former buddy-buddy eastern Ukrainian "freedom fighters" did their utmost best to conceal their involvement in this crime ?Knowledge is Power

First, all that "Authoritarian dictator" crap is a western propaganda, forget about that.Originally posted by kentonio View PostWhen did you become such a bunch of pussies? Seriously, you try something for a few years and manage to completely **** it up despite other countries doing it just fine for centuries, and your take away is that its not your fault, its the system? Instead you'd rather bow down like a bunch of dogs to an authoritarian dictator who won't let your press report freely, won't allow opposition parties to provide a viable alternative, and has set your country against half the world. Yeah, good job there..
Second, it's not ideologies who run the country, it's up to the specific persons in the end anyway. If most liberals in power were stealing so much (effectively, everything theoretically possible) that they almost destroyed a country, and Putin's team, while also stealing, does it much less - and it's backed by obvious improvements in Russian economical development, it makes no sense to change tame criminals on rampant criminals back again.
You may say what you want, leaving abroad, but the facts of life are very simple - Putin's team is just better, and liberals almost destroyed a country. Liberals had a chance, and they stolen it from themselves, together with people's money. Too bad, try again in a hundred years when several generations will change and people will forget it. Sucks to be liberals, but that's life, that's how democracy works.Last edited by Ellestar; August 13, 2015, 01:39.Knowledge is Power

Leaving western propaganda aside, in 1999 we were asking USA for food aid IIRC. And we don't want to get back to that again.Originally posted by Dinner View Posthttps://www.washingtonpost.com/news/...oes-it-matter/
Steals much less? He has been turbo charged in his thefts and that is why he now is the world's richest man. Just think of all the cronies, hanger ons, and lackeys who also get a cut. I wouldn't be surprised to learn $0.50 of every tax dollar disappears to theft and corruption.Knowledge is Power
