The real story is that Putin and Russia are for "countryism" (independent countries should strive to protect their own inerests more than they are doing it now). Capitalists are for globalism (international corporations exploiting weak countries).

Actually, it's very smart plan of capitalists, to mark anti-nationalist idea as "nationalist". Then again, they don't think that their brainwashed citizens will know real world history, so why not?
So, when we help or protect other independent countries from rampant capitalists, we magically become "nationalists". It seems like the idea to call Russians of all people fascists. We fought against fascists the most, while most of the Europe either traded with them during WW2 or even fought in their ranks against Mother Russia. And now they call us fascists, sure.
