It is a fact, folks. 90% of the Russia attacks have been against the moderate (backed by the US, Turkey, and the Gulf states) while less than 10% of Russian attacks have been against ISIS. Further more the Assad regime has only launched offensives against the moderates. ISIS has taken advantage of this to seize a lot of territory in the last day all from the moderates while Assad's offensive has only advanced a mile or two (and he has lost at least 20 tanks and 1 helicopter doing it).

This fits with what Assad wants though. He wants the choice to only be between him or ISIS and does not want there to be a moderate third choice. The reality is the Gulf, the US, and Turkey have all said they will now dramatically increase supplies of weapons to the moderates so it is going to be a long fight and Russia will not be able to leave in 3 months as they hoped without abandoning Assad. This war is going to go on for several years more.

If Russia had actually attacked ISIS then they would have been welcomed as friends but instead they decided to attack, almost exclusively, the moderate opposition.
