(staying out of the larger discussion, or at least trying to, but that's not the best example you could have used)
Hitler received kindness from a Jew when he was poor and living in Vienna. A Vienna that under the Habsburgs had a notoriously antisemitic mayor.

The majority of Imperial Germany's Jews were secularized, and were a very, very, small minority.

However, the history of Christian Western Europe from even before the Crusades, is replete with antisemitic prejudice- the Holocaust didn't spring fully blown into the minds of those who perpetrated it, without there having been hundreds of years of religious and state backing for the hatred which found its consummation in Auschwitz-Birkenau and Sobibor and Treblinka.

    Plans to destroy Christianity
    DinoDoc

Yeah, and how does any of that article disprove what I stated, that the faith of the majority of the people responsible for world's first industrialized genocide was Christianity ?

It doesn't. The people in the watchtowers at the detention camps where Soviet prisoners of war were kept observed the process of starvation which was designed to eliminate the Soviet soldiers. If you have any proof that those guards were pagans I'd like to see it.

Similarly the Croatians who staffed Jasenovac and exterminated Roma, Jews and Orthodox Christians were Roman Catholics.

Elok- Goebbels was the Nazis' chief propagandist- and a Roman Catholic. If people such as DinoDoc want to claim that the majority of the architects and perpetrators of the Holocaust were not Christian, they have a duty to do so.

Did you have in mind the Hays Code and the Roman Catholic Legion of Decency ?

Or maybe how the citizens of Warsaw, Indiana, kept out the cold :

However, when things are more narrowly (or personally) targeted, especially at that which is perceived to threaten our children, more of us are willing to get on board. On a wet, dreary day in December, 1977, the Warsaw, Indiana, Senior Citizens Club obtained 40 copies of Simon, Howe & Kirschenbaum's Values Clarification: A Handbook for Practical Strategies for Teachers and Students and ceremonially burned them - and kept their hands warm - in the Warsaw Park Pavilion parking lot.
Almost invariably, book burning gets bad press. Since freedom of expression is something most of us hold sacred, what else could book burning be but an act of despicable profanity?

Yes, because they'll only get shot in the line of duty :

Ahmed Merabet, the police officer gunned down in the Charlie Hebdo attack, was killed in an act of barbarity by “false Muslims” his brother said in a moving tribute on Saturday, where he also appealed for unity and tolerance.

Speaking for a group of relatives gathered in Paris, Malek Merabet said the terrorists who ignored his brother’s plea for mercy as he lay wounded on the street may have shared his Algerian roots, but had nothing else in common.

“My brother was Muslim and he was killed by two terrorists, by two false Muslims,” he said. “Islam is a religion of peace and love. As far as my brother’s death is concerned it was a waste. He was very proud of the name Ahmed Merabet, proud to represent the police and of defending the values of the Republic – liberty, equality, fraternity.”

Malek reminded France that the country faced a battle against extremism, not against its Muslim citizens. “I address myself now to all the racists, Islamophobes and antisemites. One must not confuse extremists with Muslims. Mad people have neither colour or religion,” he said.

“I want to make another point: don’t tar everybody with the same brush, don’t burn mosques – or synagogues. You are attacking people. It won’t bring our dead back and it won’t appease the families.”
Ahmed Merabet was the first police officer at the scene of the Charlie Hebdo attack. He was shot dead in cold blood. Now his brother has appealed for calm

No one has a right to immigrate so you just say no more and start deporting those who are not citizens but on temperary visas of one kind or another. Start draining the swamp.

Quota systems have served well in the past and could do so again. Just allocate zero for a quota for an country that is majority muslim.
You have many faults, Oerdin, but your blatant racism is probably the only one that really matters.

No one has a right to immigrate. We can set any standards we want for any reason we want.

Because it draws the attention away from the fact that "freedom of speech" was attacked by fundamentalists and focusses on the fact that the fundamentalists in this case were muslims ?

No. It completely misses the point.

In Belgium, one of our our resident stupid Arabs already is misusing the "je suis achmed".

                          • Well, to me it represents the fact that many muslims want to be a part of what is more about being a protest against religious extremism. Their point is that a muslim police officer died in defence of Charlie Hebdo - it's an act of solidarity.

My first instinct was solidarity with CH, but when I dug deeper I realised theirs is not a freedom of speech I want to have solidarity with. Yes they have a right to offend (though it is telling that even in the west, certain subjects are taboo, such as nazism and the holocaust), but it doesn't mean I want to be a part of that and, in effect, condone their cartoons - and I don't think too many muslims could with good conscience say "Je suis Charlie" for those very reasons, whereas they can say "Je suis Ahmed" to show that they are against these atrocities because muslims were victims too...

What about that Christian loony Anders Breivik!? Should all Norwegian Christians now voluntarily evict themselves from their own country - starting with Nikolai!!?

Charlie Hebdo: Norway's Christians didn't have to apologise for Anders Breivik, and it's the same for Muslims now

What about the Oklahoma Bomber? Or basically any Christian in the US who goes nuts with a gun!?

Why don't you start by ****ing off back to where you came from originally - I'm sure the Native Americans would be grateful if all the descendents of the terrorist aggressors that stole their country ****ed off home?
I am fine with blocking the immigration of members of violent groups from Europe too. Unfortunately, the folks who already are here and citizens s can't be deported but we can stop making the situation worse.

There is a PEW Poll floating around which shows 35% of muslims world wide support terrorist organizations. Sorry, but such beliefs are incompatible with civil society and you'd better believe it is good policy not to let such people immigrate.

There is also a recent poll floating around that says that 51% of Americans now express explicit anti-black attitudes. Yes, the majority of Americans are racists and you're clearly one of them.

I bet the majority of Americans also support Israel and its 'right' to murder innocent civilians in their thousands on a fairly regular basis as well...
