Incidentally I find it hilarious how you and your brother are so determined to try and prove I don't actually support the party I've voted for for 20 years, and further that the party sharing a name with your right wing somehow means they have to be the same.

If it makes it any easier for your tiny brain to understand: No I'm not a conservative in any sense that you would be familiar with. Now I hope that means you don't have to trouble your puzzled little head any more, and you can go back to throwing rocks at poor people.

Conservatives in the US so love Maggie Thatcher that they completely forget that the Tories are far more liberal than they think. I mean, heck, the blogger Andrew Sullivan is a massive pro-Tory guy, but no American would call him a US Conservative.

I'll put it this way: If I lived in the UK, I'd vote between the Tories and the Liberal Democrats. I'm a huge fan of David Cameron. I couldn't see myself voting for a Republican anytime soon (though I would have even 10 years ago).

If Republicans were like Cameron - pro gay marriage, pro environment, pro universal healthcare - I may never have left the party. Well, until I became a Christian and went pretty left. He harkens back to a more sane right winger - like the US used to have.
