So it's no longer considered private if someone leaks it?
I guess this means that there's no privacy whatsoever.

It's curious how conservatives who ordinarily support employers being able to fire employees for any damn reason they please, all of a sudden back pedal on that, when a bigot is fired for his opinion.
An employer fired you for being gay? Meh.
An employer fired you for publicly speaking out in favor of racial segregation? That's outrageous!
EDIT: Yeah, yeah - it was in what he thought was a private conversation to begin with, but I think even if this had been public in beginning, conservatives would still be shedding tears for the guy.
A lot of Republicans are not racist, but a lot of racists are Republican.

Quite simply we hate political correctness firing people who refuse to comply with it.
Now, I'm more curious how you seem to support outing your political enemies. Seems to me that the sword cuts both ways.

I think that you should have the right to think what you want and express your opinions in many different forums. However, if you take his thoughts, words and combine them with his history it becomes obvious that he should not own a franchise of majority black basketball players in the 21st century. He is very suited for running KKK franchises.
It's bad for moral for all the players in league, not just the clippers and it would be bad for business for all the owners in the league not just the clippers. We the people have a voice but not the authority to make a decision on sterling. The league has ultimately came too the conclusion that it was in their best interests to get rid of him.
So the precedent as always has been what's good for business and sterling is now bad for business.
As far as the money goes, sterling is financially at the point were it's easier to hurt his ego/pride than it is too hurt him financially. That ban hurts a lot. From reading his comments, he took a lot of pride in owning that franchise.
What can make a nigga wanna fight a whole night club/Figure that he ought to maybe be a pimp simply 'cause he don't like love/What can make a nigga wanna achy, break all rules/In a book when it took a lot to get you hooked up to this volume/
What can make a nigga wanna loose all faith in/Anything that he can't feel through his chest wit sensation
As more comes out about previous knowledge of his inclinations in this area, they had to be strict or face probable questions about why this wasn't addressed earlier. This way those questions probably won't gain much traction.
I still think a lifetime ban is a bit extreme. Any skinhead can buy a ticket to a game. The NBA has no problem taking their money.
No, he shouldn't be allowed in any ownership or ruling body in the league but not being able to attend a game seems a bit silly.
(yes, I originally stated that they should let the market dictate his ownership but on second thought the end result is the same and how it occurs isn't that important.)
It's almost as if all his overconfident, absolutist assertions were spoonfed to him by a trusted website or subreddit. Sheeple
