No... the evil market is suppressing his freedom to treat black people like animals. We must have a planned economy run by racist old men.

This guy has been terrible for 40 years. Why did it take this long for this to become a media issue?

Don't think I'm not in favor of allowing people to hire and fire for whatever reason, obviously that should be legal, I just think it's also wrong force people out because of their political views, legal or not--what I was referencing in the Mozilla case. In that case, Brendan Eich's opinion on gay marriage is not evil and the tendency of liberals to think of people who disagree with them as evil is disturbing.

Okay then. Case closed. Anyone can be fired at anytime for any reason.

That should be that then. Fire him.

Why do only prospective CEO's and crotchety old NBA owners deserve exception to this?

                      (I already know the answer)

They don't? I just find it distasteful when they are fired for their opinions, I don't think it should be against the law.

                        also

You aren't a Clippers fan! You don't go to their games! Why do you care what the NBA does?

Lifetime ban and $2.5 mil fine:

“I give you a new commandment, that you love one another. Just as I have loved you, you also should love one another. By this everyone will know that you are my disciples, if you have love for one another.”
                              - John 13:34-35 (NRSV)

The 2.5 mil i have no problem with but i think the lifetime ban is a bit excessive.
It's almost as if all his overconfident, absolutist assertions were spoonfed to him by a trusted website or subreddit. Sheeple
