Yes, it makes me a terrible Christian to assume people are sufficiently familiar with the Bible to recognise the citation. I see.

He's still representing them, no doubt there's a clause in his contract about conduct unbecoming. The whole ****ing thing is ridiculous, because we're talking about "reality" television; the suspension is the least ridiculous thing about this.
Is there? What evidence do you have for it?

They're filming the family's life, presumably. How do you "suspend" him from that? Keep him from eating dinner with his own family at his own dining room table?
No, I did not steal that from somebody on Something Awful.

Maybe today will help you in learning the books of the Bible. I sure hope so!

I'm not sure you can count that high. How many books in yours?

They tape around him/cut him out.

There was another kid in Ozzy Osborne's house who didn't want to be on the show.

This usually means the person doesn't believe something. But here's the evidence that the belief that homosexuality is a sin is decreasing but still pretty damn mainstream belief:

What he said was impolite. I know one group of people who cherish old fashioned respect and politeness. A conservative society is a polite society.

And as for A&E dropping him, A&E is owned by Hearst and Disney. The only responsibility those corporations have is to their shareholders. If management believes an asset or business relationship will have a negative effect on shareholder value, they better get rid of it! It would be positively un-American not to!

I applaud A&E and this upstanding example of conservative American values

As an aside, Phil Robertson is a really interesting guy. He actually has a masters degree in education and he played college ball at Louisiana Tech where he was the starting QB over a little-known backup named Terry Bradshaw. Offered a contract with the Redskins, Robertson declined, because it got in the way of duck season. "Terry went for the bucks and I chased after the ducks," Robertson said later.

"I have nothing against Wilson, but he's nowhere near the same calibre of QB as Flutie. Flutie threw for 5k+ yards in the CFL." -Ben Kenobi

You can think something is a sin and still be respectful to the person you believe to be sinning. There are lots of people with vices who I still treat with respect and dignity. There's a difference between disapproval and homophobia. Note that I am not saying that I personally believe that homosexual relationships are sinful.

Quick question, does anyone actually believe the rest of the family will continue the show without Phil? Hell is anything else on A&E atm?

I'm surprised. Haven't you, in past threads, expressed support for companies to fire their employees for whatever personal reasons the boss may have?
