How does this make any sense? Currently if anything you are subsidizing other peoples bag use. If a poor minority family on welfare go into the store and use many, many bags when they spend their food stamps, and you only use one or two, you are subsidizing their plastic bag habit. Come on now, tell us honestly how that makes you feel.

It makes me wonder what percentage the markup is on the food since demand is being artificially stimulated.

That's how they do it 'round these parts. $0.05/reusable bag used at the cashiered check out. No discount at the self checkout...thanks Obama. But that's OK, I just select the non-organic produce icon and get the organic so it balances out. Thanks Monsanto for subsidizing my produce.

Sainsbury's and the Co-operative both reimburse you a penny/and or store card points for each bag of your own that you bring.

Actually I had more work teaching nursing students who were struggling in their biology. Had the biology prof recommend me to other students after the first one I took on went from several years behind to an A on her courses. I'm very proud of her - she did great!
