HC: I am shocked you agree with your DL... and that you are both wrong.“I give you a new commandment, that you love one another. Just as I have loved you, you also should love one another. By this everyone will know that you are my disciples, if you have love for one another.”

Only those that buy into the Kool-Aid drinking. For those that understand economics, they are not misconceptions but inevitable facts.Originally posted by Dinner View PostBoth Germany and the UK have lower unemployment than the US and they've had that for a while now.
BTW you really are delusional in your misconceptions of both the Republican shut down/threat to default as well as about the EU in general. I think that's clear to everyone though.
British unemployment currently stands at 7.7%. U.S. unemployment rate for August is 7.3%. But I can't expect you to understand such things when you are so drunk on Democratic kool-aid."I am sick and tired of people who say that if you debate and you disagree with this administration somehow you're not patriotic. We should stand up and say we are Americans and we have a right to debate and disagree with any administration." - Hillary Clinton, 2003

Bah, until very recently they had a lower unemployment rate. Germany's is still in the mid 5% range.
BTW, yes, someone here has drank a hell of a lot of kool-aid but it sure is hell isn't me. Remember who was factually correct in the recent argument and who has been babbling nonsense and excuses. You seriously need to buy a mirror, dude.Try http://wordforge.net/index.php for discussion and debate.

Not even DD agrees with you... that's how far off the reservation you've gone. Maybe you can get BK to jump on your sinking floatOriginally posted by Hauldren Collider View PostIt's hilarious that you think he's my DL. And you're still an idiot, Imran.

I could say the same exact thing to you. The simple fact is that the kind of spending and unfunded expansion of social programs must stop. If we want the programs...fine. BUT, we must find a way to make them sustainable. Adding $11 Trillion to the debt in 13 years is nothing but a recipe for disaster no matter how you look at it. Something must be done. The Democratic method of "kicking the can down the road" is utterly stupid. Not to say that the Rupublican method of "slash and burn" isn't stupid to, but at least they have been begging for fiscal responsibility.Originally posted by Dinner View PostBah, until very recently they had a lower unemployment rate. The sheer size of Italy's economy is only a bit behind the UK, but it's also been a massively corrupt and irresponsible ****hole for at least my lifetime. As for Spain, it's at the bottom end of the big Euro economies, and relies on tourism to the tune of 11% of GDP leaving it hugely vulnerable to things like huge global economic collapses.Originally posted by PLATO View PostUK is 7th largest economy in the world. Italy is 8th...Spain is 13th. Italy has the 4th largest economy in Europe...Spain is 5th.
Hardly the Mississippi and Alabama's of Europe. Have some more Kool-Aid.

Aww bless, you took the figures averaged across the whole EU.Originally posted by PLATO View PostOf course...if you guys think European unemployment at 12.7% is "success", then what the hell can I say?
I wonder what happens when we look at the top 10 economies in Europe?
Global GDP position/Unemployment
Germany: 4th/5.3%
France: 5th/11%
UK: 6th/7.7%
Italy: 9th/12%
Spain: 13th/27.2%
Netherlands: 18th/7%
Switzerland: 20th/3.1%
Sweden: 22nd/7.3%
Norway: 23rd/3.9%
Poland: 24th/10.6%
The complete reversal of reality there is absolutely stunning. I literally have no idea how you can have watched the last few weeks and come away believing that. This is some real Alice in Wonderland ****.Originally posted by PLATO View PostYes...the Republican's caved. As they should have given the complete intransigence of the Democrats. In the end, they did what was right. The "my way or the highway" approach of the Democrats is what was utterly childish.

Post 45 lays out the reason health care spending is so high in the US and what could be done about it quite well IMO. Medicare isn't anywhere near the entire reason for it.Originally posted by Imran Siddiqui View PostNot even DD agrees with you... that's how far off the reservation you've gone.I make no bones about my moral support for [terrorist] organizations. - chegitz guevara

Dear god man, you did not add $11 trillion from entitlement spending, you spent it on two unfunded wars and a global economic collapse!Originally posted by PLATO View PostI could say the same exact thing to you. For HC (look at around 2010 - see where medicare AND medicaid are like 5% at present?):
