He did a debate with an atheist on the origins of morality where he argued--asserted, really--that atheism inevitably leads to Nazism, or something similar. Also, he was working off incorrect information in this article; everyone agreed that woman was brain-dead. The "smiling" shown on videos was a primitive reflex. If she were actually capable of function, or there were a reasonable hope of her acquiring that capacity, that would have modified the calculus considerably. But she wasn't, and there wasn't.
