The fact you could even ask a question like that means that you need to really re-examine how you consider relationships. If people want children then that is a life changing experience that people cannot just set aside. Asking someone who does not wish to experience that to do so however, it's just as unreasonable. People have to have compatible expectations or they are risking an extremely miserable life.

If you don't want children - don't get married - save your boyfriend and girlfriend the grief, heartbreak and hardship. Getting married on the hopes that, 'things will change', etc is bad.

If you are infertile, and upfront beforehand I don't see the problem here. The distinction is being 'open' to children. Inability to father or conceive is different from having sex that is explicitly closed off.
