I think this shows what HC was alluding to earlier - the US position has become so extreme on both ends that we seem to be arguing for the opposite position simply because my desire to ban abortion after the 3rd trimester makes some treat me like an extreme pro-lifer (seriously have been yelled at for it).

Assuming you mean ban elective 3rd trimester (as opposed to those for medical emergencies), your position mirrors most countries in the world. Certainly not what I would consider a pro life stance, I guess the terms really are dramatically different there.
