Romney is a moderate. He won statewide election in Massachusetts for christ's sake. He did not lose for being too right wing. He lost because the GOP is failing to pick off key components of the Democrat coalition, for entirely different reasons. The GOP is not totally homogenous and there are lots of republicans who support immigration for instance. If the party banks towards that center in the next election they'll be fine.

Now connect the dots. If this is the best the Republican Party can do when it comes to nominating people they think are moderate, they're off their ****ing rocker.

McCain was so moderate Republicans in the Senate used to literally refuse to eat lunch with him, like the nerdy ******* in middle school.

Romney had to lurch rightward to get any traction in the primaries. He didn't really move away from those positions after the nomination was secure.

All candidates have to do that, in both parties.

Romney is a moderate. Why is he a moderate?. He is a moderate because he was chosen for his moderate characteristics.

You could tell McCain was embarrassed to have to front right wing credentials throughout the campaign.

Romney is a flip-flopper who doesn't stand for anything except being a Mormon. He was moderate when he wanted to be governor of a liberal state, then he switched to "severely conservative". Then he switched back to moderation when he debated Obama. That's different from a moderate. McCain had some actual backbone.

Didn't work for McCain or for Romney. Time to do something different.

                      Yeah, Obama sure got leftist

I know you're still in a state of shock but why can't you accept the reality that Obama represents what most people in states matter want out of their government.

Why are republicans so opposed to looking inward and would rather blame Obama for every failure? You didn't lose the election just because Romney was a poor candidate, you lost because you're a complacent party that refuses to learn a goddamn thing, and would rather do purity tests than win elections.

Name one issue that Republicans should concede on to be more moderate and then question the feasibility of it.

                          Abortion?
                          Immigration?
                          Drugs?
                          Financial Restraint?
                          Gay Marriage?

You're not throwing moderates any ****ing bones here.

prolife isn't a moderate position so who really cares?

not only that, but you want to shun people like Rah and HC from the party because you think moderate republicans are what is wrong with the republican party.

"Safe, legal and rare" was a moderate position on the matter of abortion.

You were talking about purity tests. Clearly the democrat party does engage in purity tests to ensure that their nominees are always pro abortion. I rest my case.
