I can get perfectly good burgers here. In my opinion the best ones are at Five Guys. Fuddruckers is close, although the only one nearby is in Buffalo.

People hated it so much they created and joined an anti-five guys facebook group.
Oerdin, your evaluation seems in direct conflict with other opinions, and does not match my experience there. (Been there twice, once at LaGuardia, once locally around Chicago.) I judge them as overpriced, but far from inedible. I mean, it's just a damned burger. So I'm going to go out on a limb and suggest that perhaps your local 5Guys is pretty bad, but may not be representative of the typical 5Guys location.

I tried two different locations with the same results than refused to try more. Sure, it is possible that some where there is indeed a five guys which isn't horrible but so far I haven't found it and have deemed it not worth bothering to look for given that I can easily find better burger places all over.Try http://wordforge.net/index.php for discussion and debate.

Pretty rare for me to do fast food chain burgers these days. When I do, it's usually Steak N Shake.Apolyton's Grim Reaper 2008, 2010 & 2011

Really? You're hanging your "huge numbers hate them" argument on a FB page with 28 likes and maybe a half-dozen posts in over a year???Scouse Git (2) La Fayette Adam Smith Solomwi and Loinburger will not be forgotten.

I think the question in the OP is an interesting one, I've only ever been to 1* restaurants - would be interested in what the difference is with 2*. To be honest, I'm not sure I'd see the need to have anything with better food, wine or service than the 1*s I've been to.
Interesting that it became a burger troll not a "I don't earn that much in a month!" alby troll though.Jon Miller: MikeH speaks the truth

They never say that about the chicken's blood casserole or tripe with chilli and black beans. And they usually say when they see me tucking into the feet- 'Is good for skin!'.
