    My source.
Your source offers no proof for their assertion.

As for the altar rails - I have no recollection of them (being too young for them at least in the Catholic church. However, I don't consider altar rails to be an essential part of Catholic doctrine.

That's great. But Sunday is not the Sabbath.
So you admit then that Christ was resurrected on Sunday?

IOW - all protestants actually accept papal infalliability to some degree, (as they accept the first 4 ecumenical councils.)
What is IOW? No, all protestants do not accept papal infalliability. I don't care when it became doctrine. It's not for me. I don't believe in it. Therefore I am not catholic, and I will never be just because you claim it was the first church. That simply does not matter.

            In Other Words. IOW.

The argument goes something like this.

            1. Most Protestants accept the first four ecumenical councils.
            2. The first four ecumenical councils contain infalliable papal declarations.

            3. Ergo Most Protestants accept papal infalliability.

Well then, that's the crux of the issue. What day did he die on the Cross, Kidicious?

Ok let's say that someone believes these communion rails are very important to their faith because they believe that the early church had them. They have the option to become a member of another church that is identical to yours except that church has communion rails. You would say to that person that they should not switch to a church that better serves their needs?

Well, for the sake of a better argument -

The main concern for the Altar rails is that it encourages Catholics to receive the host while kneeling in front of their Lord and Saviour. Even Vatican II had no such requirement for their removal in the first place. They were removed by the priests and bishops out of their desire, not because the Catholic church required it.

I personally feel very strongly for bringing them back - but then I attended one parish (which I quite liked otherwise), that had no blocks for kneeling whatsoever. Hard on the knees. I don't know whether they've been restored. Not all the changes are approved by the Catholic church - individual priests have substantial latitude, and many liturgical abuses go unreported.

You might think this is funny, Kid. I'm being deadly serious here. This is a very important part of Christian faith. That your answer to my previous question was IDK concerns me.

The rails are not the main issue. The issue is standing and kneeling before Christ when receiving the Host. If offered, I would encourage someone to attend a parish where they could kneel before reception - altar rails or no.

Too YOU it is an important part of Christian faith. Ergo, you are catholic. I am not. I don't worry about details that don't concern me, to be honest.

I believe that Christ never gave the Pope or the church the authority that they claim. I believe he preached against such authority in religion. If you want to be catholic, because it fits your needs I see no problem, however, I find fault in you telling people that they should be catholic simply because it was the first church. That is a bad reason to pick a church.

Why do you constantly avoid the issue? It doesn make your argument look good.
