He is obviously crediting the Jews with any Palestinian births in that timeframe since his only metric for "better" is that there is increased population
I notice you sectioned out my comments on the economic development and the fact that employment is higher in Israel than in the surrounding area. Simply put - Israel offers more opportunities to muslims than muslim countries.

If you're going to bother to rebut my statement with strawmen, can you at least put a little bit of effort? This is boring.

Are you saying that the British liberated Arabs in the area from Turkish suzerain? Interesting argument. Would run contrary to your notion of imperialistic expansion, no? Or is it only imperialism when Europeans do it?

The Austrian Empire declared war on Serbia 28th of July, 1914.
The German Empire declared war on Russia, 1st of August 1914.

Turkey joined the Central Powers, 2nd of August 1914.

The German Empire declared war on France 3rd of August 1914
Britain declares war on the German Empire 4th of August 1914.

Turkey joined the Central Powers the day after they declared war on Russia, and the day before they declared war on France, two days before Britain declared war on Germany.

They were a legitimate target the moment they joined the Central Powers. Had they stayed out - they would not have gotten involved in the war. Instead - they chose to not only stay in, but ally with the Central Powers.

Had they not jumped in - they would have kept the Levant and there never would have been a mandate in the first place. But, they chose to join - declared themselves to be the enemies of the Entente.

Declared themselves? The August 2nd alliance with Germany was made in SECRET! In fact, it was not even official!

A secret treaty was signed between the Ottoman Empire and the German Empire on August 2, 1914 to enter the war on the side of the Central Powers, one day after the German Empire declared war on Russia.[1] The alliance was ratified by many high ranking Ottoman officials, including Grand Vizier Said Halim Pasha, the Minister of War Enver Pasha, the Interior Minister Talat Pasha, and Head of Parliament Halil Bey.

However, there was no signature from the House of Osman, and the Sultan Mehmed V had not signed it. As the Sultan was the Commander-in-Chief of the Army, as written in the constitution, this made the legitimacy of the Alliance questionable, as this would mean that the army would not be able to fight a jihad on behalf of the Sultan. As the Sultan had wanted the Empire to remain neutral, he did not wish to command a war himself; and as such, left the Cabinet to do much of his bidding.
Secondly, maybe Britain shouldn't have made an alliance with Russia, the enemy of Germany and the Ottoman Empire! Britain was just asking for it!

The fact of the matter is, the REAL declaration of war between the Ottomans and the UK was instigated by the UK.

Governments totally can rewrite the past. Iran is making a bold initiative to undo the horrors of the Holocaust.

Yes Ben, if the empire you're currently the subject of is defeated and you're handed over to another empire that decides to hand your land over to foreigners, you've totally been liberated.

Did I say it did? My loyalties lie here now, and have been here for some time. I would like my status to reflect this and that is what I am working towards. Some, like my uncle carry dual citizenship, for they plan to return back to Canada. I've thought about that and considered that, and realized that rather than carry dual citizenship - I would, once I get US citizenship - rescind my Canadian citizenship.

Ben already described the American conquest of the West as liberation of the American Indians from the British and Mexicans.

That question is completely irrelevant. Congratulations on meeting your usual standard of sophistry.

Irrelevant that the British were the ones who created an independent, self-governing arab state in the Levant? I say not. It completely destroys your argument of 'imperialism'. If the British were motivated by Imperialism, why is it that they did more in 25 years than the Turks did in 500?

Nothing says "liberation" like having most of your land taken from you and populated by foreign settlers! Maybe we're doing the whole war in Afghanistan wrong and should be selling huge tracts of land to American corporations and letting them take responsibility for suppressing insurgents in the area.

I said it was liberation from the French, and the Spanish and the British, yes. If you're going to quote me, please get it right.

                                That might actually work.
