Fine. On what basis have I taught something that is incorrect?

          • There is that .

There is also a judgementalism and a very big "abide by the rules" streak in you, Ben, which is exactly what Jesus was rebelling against with the Pharisees.

Well, that's not the same as saying that I've taught something incorrect. You don't like how I present things, not what is presented.

So I haven't taught something incorrect?

              • Pendantism is also a hallmark of the Pharisees... btw, the point of Jesus's harranging against the Pharisees was that they hadn't taught anything incorrect, but were focusing on entirely the wrong thing.

No. They weren't doing what they were teaching.

edit: Actually there's at least one difference in what Jesus taught. It's to love your enemy.

There's no requirement to be a pacifist. There are things believing Christians can disagree on, and pacifism is one of them.

                        • Imran, have I taught anything that is incorrect? It's a yes or no answer. You can call me names all you like, but please answer the question.

No it isn't. The words of the Lord can not be dismissed. Turn the other cheek. Love your enemy. etc...

Jesus added a number of things to the law - but the Pharisees were following the law as written, but not its spirit.

No Jesus took particular issue with the way they followed the law and didn't follow the law. The biggest issue was with there disobedience regarding the Sabbath Year.
