I'm glad the law agrees with this. While I'm not a fan of them, it wouldn't be my decision.
It's almost as if all his overconfident, absolutist assertions were spoonfed to him by a trusted website or subreddit. Sheeple

Absolutely. Would I stop supporting her if she chose to go ahead and do it? Absolutely not. She's my wife, and I love her. But I would not allow it or agree with it one bit. It's her child - and I could no more abort her child than I could do so to any of her other children.
What would you do, if she decides to abort and the priests of your church chose to excommunicate her because of her abortion (and she were against this decision)?
Would you support your wife (in fighting against her excommunication) or would you support the decision of the catholic church?
(and, in this case, what would you do about the fact, that after her excommunication, your marriage isn´t a valid marriage anymore in the eyes of the church)

      • If your hypothetical wife were hypothetically raped by a hypothetical black man and hypothetically aborted her hypothetical pregnancy, would you go on a hypothetical murderous rampage? If so, which person or people would you direct your rage against? Please cite all relevant papal encyclicals and the specs for all firearms or other weapons used. Also, does being hearing-impaired give you compensatory super-vision you could use to become an awesome sniper, sort of like a reverse Daredevil who doesn't get to nail Jennifer Garner? Thank you for answering our survey, and have a nice day.

PS what if the rapist were only part black? Would you feel better about it? Assume that the part-black person in question is NOT President Obama, as he has special socialist cronies to do his raping for him.

I'd do the same as if she were a Catholic but not in good standing with the church. Go to mass with her, accept that she could not take communion and sit with her and not take communion either.

Would you support your wife (in fighting against her excommunication) or would you support the decision of the catholic church?
I would support her without supporting her decision, and I would not fight against her excommunication, but I would fight to get her reinstated, under the proper rules. (which means, confession, etc). I would encourage her to do that - but it would be up to her to pursue that option.

(and, in this case, what would you do about the fact, that after her excommunication, your marriage isn´t a valid marriage anymore in the eyes of the church)
You have poor understanding of canon law. Excommunication notwithstanding anything to do with the marriage, doesn't change the fact that I am still married to her, and we would still be considered to be married. My obligations to her (and hers to me) would not be released. I would still have an obligation to support her and her children, and if I didn't like that, I shouldn't get married in the church in the first place.

If I want to raise a child and she does not, then I should be allowed to pursue that option.

              • I notice you did NOT answer the question about super-vision. Until such time as you do, I'll assume John Allen Muhammad was framed.

                • What would you do if something hypothetically happened to somebody who hypothetically exists? Do the two hypotheticals cancel each other out and produce an event that really happened to somebody who really exists?

Yes, as (AFAIK) you aren´t allowed to marry an excommunicated person, I assumed that an existing marriage with an excommunicated person would be automatically (in the eyes of the church) annulled as well. Good, if I was wrong

Nope, not unless she was excommunicated for something concerning the marriage. It doesn't change things for me, but I am not all Catholics.

I'd have to check with Aristotle to be sure, but I think it's one of those the-universe-will-collapse thingies you see so often in sci-fi.

At the very least, it requires a complicated grammatical construction to describe it. Sort of like a double-negative.

                        • Even conservatives like me allows abortion when the mother's life is in danger. I don't buy that a nine year old can do a whole pregnancy without getting harmed.

Very instructive as to how he views a potential wife.

                            • He's been quite forthright in the past that he believes the man makes the decision and the wife stays in the kitchen ("likes to cook!").

The doctor didn't write the news article. We don't really know what his diagnosis of the cause of her stomach pain was do we? At 16 weeks most pregnant women are past the period of morning sickness, but not yet distended enough to have pain from the distension. Of course this kid was 9 and she had twins.

Yeah, unfortunately for you, you are wrong. Yes, it's rare, but it's rare enough that those who are reported tend to get better care. Better care - lowers the risk of maternal mortality - ergo it can be done safely. You're a doctor. Why are you basing your opinion on conjecture, rather then the actual facts of the case? I'm sure if she were your patient - you'd be demanding actual facts, and making the decision based on those, rather then saying, "I believe" is sufficient.
Uh, I was demanding facts. I was pointing out that the data from Grupo Curumim wasn't relevant to this case because its contaminated by data from pregnancies in children older than the age range in question. Do you actually beleive that if I took a sample of pregnancies of girls from aged 10 to 14 that there would likely be as many in the 10 and 11 year old group as there would be in the 13 and 14 year old group?
