Dunno, but it's my longest thread by far. I only had 1 go to the 500 limit. Had another that was close. Can't complain. Well legal stuff usually catches my interest so I can post multiple times on that. I know its my job but I still find it interesting ( especially those areas where I have never worked)

A powerful video. Much of what happened legally could also happen to many cohabiting heterosexual couples as well ( the legal difference being that they COULD marry if they choose and the practical difference being that a heterosexual partner is far less likely to be shunned by the family-- although it does happen ). In many jurisdictions much of it could also have been prevented by preparation of some fairly simple documents such as wills, power of attorneys and advanced health care directives but most folks in their 20s never think of those things.
ITs sad and its part of the reason I support gay marriage. Long-standing relationships should be recognized if a couple seeks that recognition.
