That is some of the worst cherrypicking I've ever seen.
22 Then came the Festival of Dedication at Jerusalem. It was winter, 23 and Jesus was in the temple courts walking in Solomon’s Colonnade. 24 The Jews who were there gathered around him, saying, “How long will you keep us in suspense? If you are the Messiah, tell us plainly.”
25 Jesus answered, “I did tell you, but you do not believe. The works I do in my Father’s name testify about me, 26 but you do not believe because you are not my sheep. 27 My sheep listen to my voice; I know them, and they follow me. 28 I give them eternal life, and they shall never perish; no one will snatch them out of my hand. 29 My Father, who has given them to me, is greater than all[c]; no one can snatch them out of my Father’s hand. 30 I and the Father are one.”
31 Again his Jewish opponents picked up stones to stone him, 32 but Jesus said to them, “I have shown you many good works from the Father. For which of these do you stone me?”
33 “We are not stoning you for any good work,” they replied, “but for blasphemy, because you, a mere man, claim to be God.”
34 Jesus answered them, “Is it not written in your Law, ‘I have said you are “gods”’[d]? 35 If he called them ‘gods,’ to whom the word of God came—and Scripture cannot be set aside— 36 what about the one whom the Father set apart as his very own and sent into the world? Why then do you accuse me of blasphemy because I said, ‘I am God’s Son’? 37 Do not believe me unless I do the works of my Father. 38 But if I do them, even though you do not believe me, believe the works, that you may know and understand that the Father is in me, and I in the Father.” 39 Again they tried to seize him, but he escaped their grasp.
40 Then Jesus went back across the Jordan to the place where John had been baptizing in the early days. There he stayed, 41 and many people came to him. They said, “Though John never performed a sign, all that John said about this man was true.” 42 And in that place many believed in Jesus.<p style="font-size:1024px">HTML is disabled in signatures </p>

If you un-cherrypick the quote:
In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God
So you're saying that the bible existed at the beginning of time? Ummm... no. It is impossible for the New Testament to have existed prior to Jesus's birth. It is impossible for most of the Old Testament to have existed prior to, e.g. the flood, or the fall, etc.
Your dishonest cherrypicking is ridiculous - now you've resorted to quoting sentence-fragments.<p style="font-size:1024px">HTML is disabled in signatures </p>

Out of curiosity, have you read the bible in its entirety? Or is this "the bible is equal to God" rhetoric just a lot of hot air?<p style="font-size:1024px">HTML is disabled in signatures </p>

I'll take that as an admission that you haven't read the book that you claim to be equivalent to God. The eternal book that has hundreds of translations and has evolved over the past few thousand years but is still unchanged since the beginning of time. You literally have the truth at your fingertips but you think that, rather than actually reading the book, it's more important to insult strangers online for the crime of pointing out your ignorance.
Ten bucks says you never read Das Kapital either. Though I suppose I can understand your hesitation to invest a lot of time in a new Truth if you're just going to discard it for a new and improved Truth in a few years.<p style="font-size:1024px">HTML is disabled in signatures </p>

Your attitude towards it is a historical novelty, and would have struck most Christians throughout history as baffling and possibly mildly idolatrous.I drank beer. I like beer. I still like beer. ... Albie, don't forget that Catholics are the big denomination, till about 5 years ago there were more Catholics in the world than Muslims.
Kidicius, have you read Church history? Writings of Christians from the second and third century? Some who were second and third generations christians? People who met the apostles or were pupils of people who knew the apostles? Bishops in cities were a very early development of the Church, and the Church was a unified thing with a hierarchy.
The Church isn't democratic, and the Church had the right to declare someone a heretic or as anathema if his interpretation of Christianity was heterodox and differed from the consensus.I drank beer. I like beer. I still like beer. ... Do you like beer Senator?

...the early father you quoted did NOT support your position. He said something sort of like your position, but not really. He certainly didn't say scripture was infallible. Also, you didn't identify who you were quoting.
