Which he rarely and poorly quotes. The way he discusses it, I highly doubt that he's read the Bible cover to cover, which makes me wonder why he's doing something as trivial as posting online when he ought to be reading God's infallible truth. If I had a book that unlocked the way to salvation I'd hope that I would have the sense to read the entire thing before discussing it (or in Kid's case, lambasting people with it).
HTML is disabled in signatures

His evidence that the early Church didn't worship the Scripture is the Scripture? Well that is what we call a tautology.
And of course they didn't worship Scripture - only Jesus is worthy to be worshipped & idolotry is a pejorative in Christianity for a reason.
edit: to expound, the early Christians were Jews and Judaism has ALWAYS had a robust tradition of learned rabbis interpreting the text and writing massive commentaries on it. What exactly do you think the Talmud or Mishnah is (and if you don't know, then you better learn if you want to a Christian because it collected what the Jews in Jesus time used as well as the Torah in exploring their faith)?Last edited by Imran Siddiqui; November 2, 2011, 16:35.“I give you a new commandment, that you love one another. & you mean the New Testament full encapsulated what the beliefs of Clement of Alexandria, Origin, Athanasius and the people who came after the letters and gospels of the NT were written? Unbelievable!
And do you really want me to stop posting because I'm continuing to show how ridiculous the position of conservative Evangelicals is? I'm touched .“I give you a new commandment, that you love one another. Just as I have loved you, you also should love one another. Maybe that's not exact, I'm going from memory here, but it's close. The Bible plainly identifies Jesus as "the Word."
You've really just not made any sense. In fact the very verse that you've selected nails your theory in the coffin. You're obviously saying there are two different words? Is there two truths? Two ways? Two lifes? What is this other word? Is it what your church says?I drank beer. I like beer. I still like beer. ... Do you like beer Senator?

You must have an IQ in the lowest quintile. What the ****. I'm beginning to suspect you're using a random post generator.

The Bible says the Word, the Way, the Life, Love, Justice, and the Bread from heaven are all God. It's not idolatry to worship any of those things. If you believe in some false God then of course that is idolatry even if you call him Jesus.I drank beer. I like beer. I still like beer. ... Do you like beer Senator?
