I shun invertebrates at the dinner table. Aside from their being unappetizing to look at, I can't imagine anything that smells that bad, or that has that texture, tasting good. I may also be influenced by my fish allergies here--I distrust seafood. Maybe I'm missing out on a real treat, but I don't mind. There's enough yummy stuff on land, and besides, this way I get to congratulate myself for not contributing to the depletion of our oceans.

If you eat domestic animal meat then loads of them are fed fish meal as a food supplement plus loads of farmers use fish meal as fertilizer so, yes, you're likely still on the hook for depleting our oceans but to a lesser degree. Either way, don't knock it until you tried it!

If you know that but keep saying it then it is even worse. Especially since Californians didn't pick the plums even back in the 1930's. If you knew how to read, and if you'd ever read the Grapes of Wrath, California's owned the land and dirt poor people from Texas, Okiehomo, and other midwest states came to California to pick fruit and work in the agricultural sector. In other words, your people were the "prune pickers" while we were the plantation owners. Suck on that prune, Tex.
