He's intelligent and dedicated, it's gut wrenching(?) to read how he consciously sets up his plan to kill as many as possible for 'the cause'. The guy is full of himself. The Q&A session before that is exhibitionistic. So is his professed martyrdom in the light that he has let himself be captured. I suspect he wants to let the world know for a long time to come what he did by standing trial and be a martyr in his cell.

I gather that it's hard understand how exceptional this event was. Scandinavian society is (or was until recently) very different from yours regarding violent crime. It was generally safe and open and proud of its openness. An attack of this magnitude might have appeared a remote theoretical possibility, but in reality it was unthinkable.
It would require a major cultural shift to develop a paranoid gun culture like in the US and that isn't going to happen. But Norway won't be the same either. Things will have to change in how people think about security. Society has changed and new compromises have to be made. It's inevitable.
Coincidentally, this closely parallels the conclusions ABB seems to have drawn about the modern multicultural/globalized society... He exploited exactly the same naivety which he claims Muslims are doing. What a conservative hero he is.
Something will also definitely have to change in police anti-terror routines and equipment. I saw that topic carefully broached on Norwegian TV yesterday, but they were holding off drawing "conclusions" about the police effort until all the "details" were known. There's been murmurs on Twitter about why it took so long too. I'm sure (I hope) there'll be lots more critical voices if the police can't explain themselves very well.
Edit: I just saw the police have gone on a little PR offensive. Now they're saying ABB had "considerable amounts" of ammo left, meaning the police response saved lives. We'll see where it goes.

This was a unforeseen massacre that could have not been anticipated. Placing blame will not bring the dead back to life.We must learn from this and not let it happen again.

Kitchum, without wishing us to get too distracted into NATO's 1999 war, ABB's analysis of it as described in that quote is not a very accurate one. Serbia's objective was not to drive out Albanians as he suggests (that was a NATO claim to justify its bombing) but to defend its territory against Albanian secessionists whose aim was to drive the non-Albanians out, and establish an ethnically-pure statelet which would eventually merge with a Greater Albania. NATO's actions have made the first two secessionist objectives a reality, and we shall see about the third.
In fact, were they not Muslims, ABB could easily, from his viewpoint, supported the Albanian secession as they were out-and-out Nationalists, while Milosevic, despite all the stuff thrown at him, was actually a multi-culturalist (not many people realise this, but his speeches back this up).
