Now, I hope that some sanity seeps in at the Pentagon & WH, and we start moving toward the exit from Afghanistan. Maybe this provides the necessary political cover for that... to the extent the WH/Pentagon wants that, of course.
I am curious the extent to which the Pakistanis helped or hindered. I'm sure the official statements will all be very buddy-buddy, but my gut-level suspicion is that the ISI new he was there and was pointedly looking the other way.

Actually, the timing of the birth certificate release now finally makes sense. Remember how Clinton was accused of staging military operations to dsitract people from his personal problems? Releasing the BC before this operation was a way of assuring that Obama couldn't be accused of similarly wagging the dog.
