                      BTW, May 1 2003 was the date of Bush's "Mission Accomplished" speech. So he was right on the date, just wrong on the year...

                      And it's also the anniversary of the day that Hitler's death was announced in the U.S.

                        So why did Obama kill him now instead of wait till later in the campaign season? Did they screw up? Did Osama's life support go down in a power outage and mess up the timing? Or is this just to get the birth certificate off the front page before someone notices that it's a forgery?

                            I have to say, I'm surprised at just how much satisfaction I have at this news. I am reminded of feelings that I haven't felt since I was in NY on 9/11/01, and while realistically I know this doesn't change much about the world situation, it is giving me a bit of a sense of closure.

                                I also don't get releasing the birth certificate now either. Why not hold it until the first time the Republican nominee says something about it in the campaign?
