      one can HOPE

At least it will provide some happy gridlock for half-baked liberal wishlists.

Some of the other good things that can come from a successful Republican backlash, is that we may see an increase in corporate welfare, a major setback to civil rights, increase in poverty and in gap between wealthy and poor, and an increase in big brother.
A lot of Republicans are not racist, but a lot of racists are Republican.

Have you tried not being a liberal crybaby democratic cheerleader with a fetish for stringing up straw men?
Modern man calls walking more quickly in the same direction down the same road “change.”
The world, in the last three hundred years, has not changed except in that sense.

3 out of 4 of those are the hallmark of Obama's short reign. And the jury is still out on the 4th.

I am reminded of the prediction "If you vote for McCain you can expect an increase in corporate welfare, a major setback to civil rights, increase in poverty and in the gap between the wealthy and poor, and an increase in big brother."

                And they were right.

And by the way, your "one can only hope" looks so funny as a cross-post.

Hmm, it wasn't a cross-post. It was the only possible response to what you spewed.
If you look at Obama's record. I think he can take credit for the largest corporate payouts in history. He didn't do what he promised on the military's "don't ask don't tell" or anything for gay unions. The gap between the poor and the rich has increased during his reign. Big brother doesn't look like it's gone away, but I'll reserve my judgement on whether Obama can take any blame there.

So how has Obama helped you in any of those categories?

I can think of anything truly liberal Obama has done. He's been mostly right of center on everything.

                        • The next two years will be great for TV comics.

I fully expect the wingnuts who will take over the House to shut down the Federal government at least once. I wonder if they have enough pull to refuse to hike the debt limit? Probably not, as their corporate masters would freak. And we can all look forward to endless investigations of the administration, while key Federal positions continue to sit empty.

Its going to be a golden age of comedic governance.
