Just to try and bring some logic into your way of thinking, but the fact that this girl was an ex of a friend (i.e. you know she's been sexually active recently), and the fact that you know first-hand that she will have drunken sex with someone she probably shouldn't, should probably clue you into the fact you can't use those circumstances as an improvement over average odds.

I mean, seriously... "oh she's probably clean, after all my mate was diddling her last week, then they split up, I diddled her last night, neither of us thought about contraception... she's clearly the kind of girl who would never catch an STD!"...

I'm not condemning you David, lord knows people do worse. But they have points and you've accepted them. You don't seem like a cretin to me, just immature a bit when drunken and offered sex... and who can really blame you for that. You seem to be self-aware and not proud of the event, so you're ok.

Yes, Gibsie makes the most relevant point on the thread (outside of my own points, obviously). End of the day? I don't make great decisions when I'm drunk, when it comes to sex. Ironically enough, even while drunk I make pretty good decisions in general (no driving, respectful to police, don't get in fights, etc.). Also, I'm drunk all the time. Probably something I should think about.
