We can be more sure it is more likely to be closer to the original (also, not all of it, each section should be treated separately).
Now, how do we assess the fact that the Gospels, if they are more accurate than the other historical documents of the time, the claims that they make?
Again, I'm looking at the answer to two questions. 1, the Gospels claimed there existed a Jesus of Nazareth, and two that he died and returned from the dead.
If the Gospels are accurate, why should we reject these two claims?
