Most of your points are ridiculous and not worth responding to Ben.
Taken by the tone of the thread, I'd say the arguments are entirely pertinent. The environmental movement is one of the most anti-human movements that have ever existed.

That is pure bull**** - it actually is one of the most pro-human movements that exist due to the simple fact that it want humans to survive.
With or without religion, you would have good people doing good things and evil people doing evil things. But for good people to do evil things, that takes religion.

          By killing them?

You know, I've always wondered, why don't population controllers kill themselves to limit the excess population?

Ben, God placed the world under our care. Whatever faults enviromentalists might have, they've got the take care of the world part right. You don't honestly believe we're doing a great job with that, do you?

Actually, most religious freaks believe in some kind of 'End of Days' BS - huge numbers of fundamentalist Christians are actually looking forward to Armageddon! Talk about 'anti-human'...

In fact, religious groups are about the least environmentally conscious people on the planet because of their arrogant and blind faith in God(s)...

DP - Poly acting up tonight.

I'm almost tempted to post at WPC.

Ben is the least compassionate believer in Christ ever.

I believe in an end of days. I don't look forward to it, but I believe it will come.

Because there's plenty of people like you to get rid of first.

Well, I've probably planted more trees then the rest of Poly altogether.

I'm well aware of issues surrounding conservation, but it's more hyperbole than anything else. Look at the difference just in the last 50 years wrt emissions quality etc. I would hazard to say that the modern city is far, far more cleaner than the London of say 250 years ago.

What I see as the greatest danger to conservation efforts is not that there will be too many people, but rather too few.

BS.Noone is talking about killing anyone - only that people should reduce the number of children made by the excess fornication.

The catholic church are quite opposite - they think that as many as possible of such should result in children and thereby be a tool to the destruction of the world.

So essentially people are bad? Why teach this? Children are a gift.

They teach that children are a gift and a blessing. I have zero problems with rightly-ordered conservation efforts that insist that people are more important than plants.

                                Irrelevant to the discussion.

This is not only about conservation. We have an obligation to honour God's creation, He said that it was good, and we're responsible for letting it remain so, as gardeners so to speak.
