Personally, they should drum Major Hassan's sorry ass right out of the service, and then they should hang the son of a *****. Treason is unacceptable in any and all cases, and justice should prevail.
Please put Asher on your ignore list.
    Please do not quote Asher.
He will go away if we ignore him.

I have it on good authority that Hassan was a British Monarchy supporter who was acting out on his hatred for the US rejecting the King.

I met Wendel Clark in '05. They had him at the IBM software lab in Toronto for some reason I can't even remember. He signed a lot of autographs.

I've said many times, in many threads, I'm opposed to the death penalty. Not once have I seen you comment that I was adhering to the teachings of the Catholic church.
Hmmm... okay so let me get this straight.

You personally don't support the death penalty. The reason you don't support the death penalty is because you are Catholic. Since Obama is not Catholic, and he'd be the one ordering the execution, that means it is okay for you to say he should hang Hossan?

So, going by that logic, you should be fine with an atheist woman getting an abortion, yes?

Ugh, no. I'd rather have an evangelical protestant than an unfaithful Catholic.

I think the state shouldn't have the ability to kill someone. Interestingly, this rationale doesn't apply to members in the military who have voluntarily chosen to commit themselves to the service.

The only rationale I have against the DP in this instance is that such executions are contrary to what the Catholic church teaches and I personally dislike the death penalty, and would rather not see it used. Hassan chose to serve the US Military, so they own his ass now, while they will deliberate on what to do with him.

Since Obama is not Catholic, and he'd be the one ordering the execution, that means it is okay for you to say he should hang Hossan?
If Obama truly were congruent with his own beliefs, I think he would execute Hassan. I believe if he chooses to spare Hassan, it is because Hassan was a Muslim.

So, going by that logic, you should be fine with an atheist woman getting an abortion, yes?
Apples and Oranges. The unborn child is wholly innocent. This isn't the case here. At least Hassan will get a fair trial, unlike the unborn children.

It actually wouldn't surprise me if it came out that Ben advocated or paid for a woman have an abortion, twisting logic in order to make it seem ok.

Right, because of your lifelong devotion to Catholicism you have the moral authority to judge who is faithful.
