That those folks who insist that Obama has done "NOTHING" to advance the cause of peace are living in an Obama-hating fantasy world.

That the Committee, in fact, gave a long list of accomplishments which they used to justify the award.

Obama deserves it because he convinced a country to make him president instead of the republican candidate associated with BUSH. WOW
Based on things he said while he was campaigning, We've see a lot of those promises kept so far


Even Obama said he didn't deserve it.

So if Hilary had convinced america that she should be president, she would have won.


But even with all that, I wish the president well and I hope he does eventually keep most of his campaign promises. (except the health care one because it seems like it's spinning out of control)

He promised to go after reducing the world's nuclear arsenals, bring about negotiation not threats, and end the war in Iraq. If Nixon can get the prize for promising to bring peace to Viet Nam, then Obama can get it for these promises. Note he promised all that and we elected him anyway. People don't get the award for what they did; unlike all the other prizes. They get the award as a form of pressure to follow thru on their promises, to show support for those ideas.

No he hasn't done anything to "deserve" it. I hope he does, but he hasn't yet. But he has brought a little hope into a land dominated by cynics who believe men are fools or are evil (or both) and the only way out is to die.
