Supporters of Rick Warren = supporters of Prop 8
Not necessarily.
And may I remind you that you originally said Obama's support across the nation.“I give you a new commandment, that you love one another. Just as I have loved you, you also should love one another. By this everyone will know that you are my disciples, if you have love for one another.”

People keep forgetting Obama's goal of being President of all Americans, not just of those who supported him.
So what, if Obama goes back and picks the guy who hosted the first Obama-McCain debate to give an invocation? It's not a big deal. Obama is not converting to Uber-right-wing-fundamental-OnwardChristainSoldier-ism.

Warren backing Prop 8 and all of Prop 8 supporters being supporters of Warren are two vastly different things and you should be smart enough to realize that.

Ben's little logic drill is filled with lots of holes. But it also raises an important question: Does the majority define normal? As a math proposition the norm can be related to voting majorities. But to compare one vote to another, MUST we ascribe majorityness as defining the normal? With three separate votes we can derive the utterly unprovable contention that "normal" is an Obama supporter (national vote) who is opposed to gay marraige (CA vote) but in favor of the right to choose (South Dakota's vote). This is nonsense. No matter where you go, there you are. - Buckaroo Banzai

And now I've just remembered who Rev. Wright is. The insane black reverend whom Obama was formerly associated with.
He's not insane. Wright's views are actually fairly mainstream among Black people. And most of his views are actually close to reflecting reality, unlike, say, yours. Yeah, he has a few kooky views, but then again, he is a Christian.Christianity: The belief that a cosmic Jewish Zombie who was his own father can make you live forever if you symbolically eat his flesh and telepathically tell him you accept him as your master, so he can remove an evil force from your soul that is present in humanity because a rib-woman was convinced by a talking snake to eat from a magical tree...

A majority of Black people I have spoken with on the subject, or a very large plurality, do in fact believe just that. I do not believe it, but given the American government's history, it's not an insane belief. Remember Tuskegee. Also consider the smallpox blankets (though most folks are unaware it was a British commander who handed them out). There there are the various eugenics programs the U.S. has engaged in, even up to the 1980s. And given the U.S. government's role in the importation of illegal drugs, much of which have ended up in the Black community and had a devastating role there (neither of which were incidental), it isn't unreasonable to make a leap that the U.S. government is capable of and seeking to destroy Black people. I just don't think there's any evidence to support that view and plenty of contrary evidence to oppose it.Christianity: The belief that a cosmic Jewish Zombie who was his own father can make you live forever if you symbolically eat his flesh and telepathically tell him you accept him as your master, so he can remove an evil force from your soul that is present in humanity because a rib-woman was convinced by a talking snake to eat from a magical tree...

Yes, it really is, and yes, they really are insane, and moreover they are stupid.
