worth watching does not = best sci-fi film ever.

I did watch that version. A good movie, but not a great movie.
It's almost as if all his overconfident, absolutist assertions were spoonfed to him by a trusted website or subreddit. Sheeple

A good movie enough to be on a top 25 sci-fi movie.

I don't know it, and I'm pretty sure it doesn't deserve any love!

                  Rah is a mindreader.

I was trying to recall the name!

Solaris doesn't belong in the top 30.

                    The old Solaris probably does.

Any definition of SF that includes Star Wars is weird.

If by "weird" you mean "makes sense to 99% of the people who use the word", then yes, you are correct.

Star Wars is not Science Fiction, by any definition of the word that does not stop at 'has spaceships and lasers'.

Unless you're going to call the Creation story Science Fiction...

If you mean that star wars is not hard science fiction, I would agree.

If you limit science fiction to hard science fiction, you remove 98+% of what is valuable in science fiction.

No, Niven and Isaac Asimov aren't some of the best science fiction writers. Niven actually is a mostly poor writer.
