  • The writers never knew. They were making it up as they go along with just a few broad ideas to guide them.

    • So, less then a day to go for Americans and a day for us European fans. Not that this is any way surprising, but I've heard that the finale is indeed very intense and offers a lot of answers. Should be a great two hours.

      • The final episode.

Hopefully, they pull out all the stops and they have a bang up finale because the series deserves it. Humanity needs a new home and there's going to be one big final blow out fight with the remaining enemy Cylons. All packed into one two hour finale.

        • It's interesting that they've mentioned that the finale answers questions but also said it leaves some things open-ended. I just hope the final fate of humanity isn't "open-ended", they should find a home, be wiped out or something, it has to be definite though. I also want to see Leoben again, he so freaked out back on Earth.

Won't be quite the same without BSG No other show I've enjoyed this much in a while.

          • Yeah, if they don't find the humans a home then it is a crap ending.

I'd actually think leaving the fate of humanity open ended would be cool.

                    • I just saw The Last Frakking Special. Very interesting, I recommend it. The documentary deal with the production, casting, thoughts of different kinds and what the show has meant for the ones involved, just to mention a few.

And one important bit of information, I think: When planning the end of the show, they realized this show is first and foremost about its characters. "It's the characters, stupid." And that has been their priority when making the last few episodes.

                      • What's the follow-up movie supposed to be? Does it take place after the end of the series, or is it another backstory movie like Razor?

                            • No. There is going to be a TV movie called "The Plan", this fall they are saying.
