stars in the USA flag should be replaced by tiny frogs

That's my vote, and I'm darned proud of it.

How common is it for black southerners to fly that flag?

I bet quite a few of the southerners in the US armed forces dislike the CSA battle flag more than most northerners do.
You would be suprised. Just like Northerners are when they come here and find out blacks and whites don't live in opposing fortified concrete bunkers on either side of no mans land.

Your perceptions are rather funny actually. In the end, I could really care less about what Yanks think about the flag, or anything else that is none of their business.

            Answer my question.

If this is really about geography and not race I would expect an equal percentage of black southerners to fly the Confederate battle flag.

            Do they?

No bumper sticker like crap, which is stupid. But things like fraternities, companies (in my case), football teams, and some general silly stuff.

And even if they don't fly it, they really don't have a problem with it. Or more to the point don't care.

It was funny when JJ came down here and had to import protesters because SC blacks just had better things to do.

They unfortunetly suffer from the same Northern propoganda. Can you image the PR nightmare of a group a gangbangers running around with a Battle Flag? The media would have a field day. They know this. A shame, because culturally white and black Southerns are barely different. They show their pride in different ways though.

I guess they aren't proud enough of the south to break out the flag. Maybe they don't understand? Or maybe they do and you just don't care what they think either....

edit - x-post - I see from your response the answer is apparently B) They don't understand.

It is hard to know what they think when they are all couped up behing their pill boxes over that ridge. A patrol hasn't penetrated that far into North Charleston in some time, and ELINT is scarse these days.

Naw, they just fell into a PR trap created by people not here. Oh well. You will note that their pop culture constantly referes to the south. They are not ashamed of where they come from or think they are in some Jim Crow state.

So they would love to fly the Confed flag but a bunch of no-nothing northerners convinced the stupid black people not to? That seems to be your answer.

If your trying to grind an axe, maybe that could explain how you came up with that.

But in reality, they opperate under the same myth that most of the Northern population does. Only they just don't care, you see the stars and bars everywhere here and nobody makes a big deal no matter what neighborhood your in.

We are a bit more mature here than those upidy Yanks. Our laid back style.
