Maybe, but in actuality I was presuming the lack of understanding b/c of my location and lack of cultural knowledge you seem to imply. Hence I asked about southern blacks. They live there (share the same culture) but apparently do not fly the flag.

It was serious question, the answer to which apparently strikes at an uncomfortable (for you) truth.

Your perceptions are rather funny actually. In the end, I could really care less about what Yanks think about the flag, or anything else that is none of their business.
That's funny, since I was born in Alabama and lived half my life in Tennessee.

Danish flag is very old, from the Middle Ages.

Well, I suppose you do have a point. Jews do go hand in hand with Confederate flags in Poland...

So? I bet a "majority" would have voted for slavery a couple hundred years ago.

            What was the black vote?

surprisingly few really old flags there. German republican flag dates to 1848 (And was the official flag only under weimar and then after 1947), french flag to 1789, UK flag to act of union, 1707 IIUC.
Perhaps, but the Battle Flag isn't an official flag. So how about all those regions that have rebeled throughout history? Are their colors banned? What about monarchists, if they are still around in these glorious republics?

The CSA's raison d'etre was the institution of slavery.

I just assumed your were being an ass, sorry, but I have never seen anyone make bones over its display that was from here. In fact, my black Summerall Guard classmates wore the old insignia with the flag on their blazer jackets.

actually IIRC correctly from McPherson, there was some ambguity as to the EPs effect on slavery in portions of seceded states already under control of union armies. In fact slavery was largely already in dissolution in such places as blacks fled to the northern armies, and IIUC after the EP it was the rule that they were NOT sent back to their owners. The principle effect of the exclusion was on the border states, and IIUC Delaware (which had started implementing gradual (birth) emancipation before 1860) and Missouri both instituted full empancipation during the war. the only slaves actually freed by the 13th amendment were in Kentucky and Maryland.

Do the other countries even count?

I wasnt the one who changed this to a discussion of what the south had to be proud of.

Im pretty sure the white flag of the bourbons has been banned at various points in French history. Its not a big deal now, but then not many French people fly it. Basically no one cares.

I dunno. I can provide a mostly complete county by county breakdown of the vote but I'm not sure how to find how many black people voted and in what way.
