As far as religion, I've made my choice. Now maybe some religious leaders in some faiths think I should be on some mission to convert. Forget that.
All of you have minds. All of you are supposed to be able to reason. You make your choices.

Having said that, I'm getting damned tired of atheists with their cute little remarks.
If I leave you alone, then by God, you leave me alone.

If you are not in God's flock... you are ****ed. Simple isnt it? but its the truth. You must willingly give your soul to God... and THEN you will be taken care of.. [...] He is a wonderful and loving God...
That's just stupid. I prefer the Celestial Teapot.

On a more serious note, it could be said that one does need a kind of "faith" in order to carry on with one's life. In order to develop as a person, you have to have faith in your abilities, that you don't die of heart failure the next moment, that other people and their feelings actually are real, that you actually can trust your senses and so on. I don't see, though, why this faith should be attributed to some god instead of yourself and this reality.

Kuci and I are atheists, and we expressed our annoyance with this obnoxious vid.

All atheists aren't the same, fortunately.

I know that, and you have my (our) appreciation for it.

The "Why won't God heal amputees?" site is more obnoxious than fundamentalists. These questions have been answered and most of the ideas on the site are propped up by false dilemmas or assumptions.

Just for the record, PH, there are many intelligent people who do not hold the same beliefs you do. You do not hold a monopoly on either Truth or Wisdom.

Even though I am a non-Christian, I've been around them enough to supply some of your answers. For example:

                    Why doesn't God heal amputees?
                    (1) God by Himself doesn't heal. Healing arises from the faith of the person praying to be healed. Perhaps the amputee is lacking in faith. -or-
                    (2) The afficted person needs certain obstacles to overcome to make him or her a better person. -or-
                    (3) It may be a lesson from God to teach that the soul is more important than the body. --or--
                    (4) God is working through our surgeions and physicians to heal amputees.

                      That video made me laugh!
I can come with 10 better questions that question my faith. Ok, I admit, after the first 3 question I got that bored that I stopped the video.

Really, those question are stupid stupid stupid stupid stupid. If people base their disbelieve on that, WOW!

And like I said, when I question my faith, and I do that very very often, I come with much better excuses why christianity may be a fairy tale.

We need a poll. How many questions did you listen to until you determined this to be stupid and turned it off?

2, but I never finished the listening to the second one. Maybe I'm too nice.

My PC doesn't have sound and I'm on dial-up, so I never watched it. It sounds stupid though.

Is it worse than that "Theological survey" posted a while ago? I think it was called Battlefield God, and purported to judge only the consistency of our beliefs, not their validity. It said there were no wrong answers; I started taking it, got annoyed by the simplistic options, and finally quit taking it when it told me I had answered a question incorrectly. Not inconsistently with an earlier question, incorrectly. Man, that was lame. Even Agathon didn't like it, though this was way back before he turned psychotically anti-religion.

The great commission orders all christians to go forth and make disciples for christ. Non-believers are the best place to start. Those who don't believe are less of sinners than those who do, but don't.
