Did FSU even pass 150 yards of total offense? And they WON the game!
Miami looked like the better team, but the QB got sacked NINE times!

Yeh, they totaled about 170 yards total offense and could only must 10 points.
Amazing that they won.
I came upon a barroom full of bad Salon pictures in which men with hats on the backs of their heads were wolfing food from a counter. It was the institution of the "free lunch" I had struck. You paid for a drink and got as much as you wanted to eat. For something less than a rupee a day a man can feed himself sumptuously in San Francisco, even though he be a bankrupt. I'm amazed I watched the whole thing. Then again, I was at another forum where we were treating the game like MST3000. Egads, that was a horrid performance.
And they can't even blame it on the weather!!

Also, the off the field talent at AU is, as always, impeccable. Lastly, this morning I got to go back to class on another campus crawling with hot freshman talent to help me put the game out of mind.

That UM-FSU game was the WORST game I've ever seen by two Top 25 teams (Hell, maybe even any game including even ONE Top 25 team). Both teams suck... badly.
I'll take Boise State over either! (I'm only half joking)
I agree completely. Sometimes a game is so good that I think to myself that neither team deserves to lose. This game was so bad that not only did both teams deserve to lose, but Florida should be given a loss as well for simply being from the same state.

But he touched it too much!

It was the worst game I'd seen in a year.
Since last year's FSU-Miami game.
ACK!

1) Michigan's run defense looked like yak **** against Northern Illinois. Granted, the Huskies have a pair of very good running backs, but still... Northern Illinois?
2) Notre Dame had their way with Pitt, defending Big East Champs, at Pitt, at night. Wasn't even a rivalry game for the Irish, and they played like they had been mainlining espresso for the past 48 hours. They ought to be flying all over the Big House. (Granted, so should Michigan.)
3) Ever since '97, Michigan has dropped at least one big early season game. Granted, it is traditionally on the road, but it is a trend that is hard to overlook.
I'm not saying that I'm sure Michigan is going to lose. But the conventional wisdom seems to be "sure, ND beat Pitt, but Michigan is another story." The way our defense looked last week, I'm not sure it is another story at all...
Luckily, we still have Henne, Hart, Avant, Breaston, Massaquoi, the usual ridiculously good OL, and McGrady. If I had to pick right now, I'd say that Michigan wins simply by virtue of our offense being nigh-unstoppable.
My fear is that they have to be nigh-unstoppable to win due to spotty defense. Michigan could be this season's Louisville.

I just found out that Michigan St. isn't giving UH their tapes to play even though we gave them ours. Bad form.
AND Michigan told Kent not to give us their tapes.
Hey, anything to win, eh? Dirty pool. And if you got to do that to win, something tells me that your team sucks.

As I recall, Michigan's defense was no less poor last year. What was their final record? I seem to recall them going to the Rose Bowl or somewhere big.
